Using the BaassFX RDX 691 enclosures, a pair of 6” x 9” speakers can be neatly mounted without having to cut into the parcel shelf. The boxes can then be safely and securely mounted at the rear of the car, and accordingly be positioned.
These could be placed at the bottom of the boot space provided in hatch back cars. The
positioning could be as per your desire, as it does not consume too much space.
Protection
The BaassFX RDX 691 is completely protected from the outside and the inside so that the 6” x 9” speakers do not get harmed when luggage is moved around. Also, no sort of dust can pass through due to the protection provided.
Ported
The speaker box has a port installed in order to have clear bass generated.
Multiple uses
The BaassFX RDX 691 enclosures also form fantastic full range speakers for bedroom or front- room stereo systems, TV systems, etc.
The users must remember that the 6” x 9” speakers have an impedance of 4 ohms each, and that they are “passive” speakers, i.e., they need an amplified signal, atleast to the power given by a head unit and upto the maximum ratings that have been specified.
How they work
The end of the supplied and installed speaker cable (inside the box) is attached to the terminals on the 6” x 9”speakers. The other end of the cable is already attached to the speakers' terminal block at the rears of the speakers. The end of the main speaker cable coming from the power source (head unit, amplifier, etc.) is then attached to the screw- fit connections on the back of the terminal block, which is at the rear of the box.
Sound test
1. Try playing the rear speakers only by fading it from the head unit.
2. Check the original location from left to right by adjusting the balance.
3. Adjust the bass to an audible level.
4. Make sure that the boot of your car is closed.
5. Once you are satisfied with the rear sound, play the front speakers to an audible level
and enjoy the music.
